摘要：
The epidemiological background to and clinical features of the respiratory disease now known as Legionnaires' disease are described and the methods used for the isolation of the Gram-negative bacillus identified as the causative agent are reviewed briefly, as are those for diagnosis. Two typical case histories are reported and the merits of various antibiotics, particularly erythromycin, as part of the overall management of the patient are discussed. © 1979 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted.
