摘要
The answer to the question of exactly how the young Einstein derived his coordinate transformations is the subject of this study. Surprisingly, much had been omitted in the publication of his first work on special relativity in which he first develops a partial differential equation whose solution is the tau time coordinate transformation, where tau = tau(x', t), and x' = x-vt. He used this tau function to find the xi coordinate transformation where xi = c tau. (C) 2008 Physics Essays Publication.
