A FLOW-THROUGH ENZYME ANALYZER FOR DETERMINATION OF L-LYSINE CONCENTRATION

A flow-through analyzer is described for L-lysine concentration determination based on an oxygen electrode and L-lysine-2-monooxygenase immobilized on silica gel. The range of the L-lysine concentration determination is from 5.5 to 55 mM (1-10 g/litre), pH 8.2. The analyzer is characterized by high specificity of the L-lysine determination. The response time is 15-40 s, the total analysis time about 3 min. The immobilized enzyme conserves no less than 50% of its activity for two months. The L-lysine concentration has been determined in the fermentation broth of fermenters and in fodder L-lysine concentrate. The analyzer can be employed both autonomously and on line with an 'Elektronika-60' microcomputer or a bK 0010 microprocessor. In the latter case the measurement data are indicated on a display and can be printed out.
