摘要
1. Methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (methyl parasept) is metabolized by Heliothis virescens by conjugation to form methyl benzoate-4-β-glucoside. 2. The rate of metabolism of methyl parasept was unaffected by the addition of gossypol to the diet. 3. Low dietary concentrations of methyl parasept or its metabolite increased the survival mean in H. virescens larvae; high concentrations caused decreased survival. 4. Methyl parasept in diets (0.125%) did not change the response of larvae to gossypol. © 1990.
