WORKFORCE CONFERENCE - INTRODUCTORY-REMARKS

These introductory remarks were presented at the interdisciplinary symposium, Workforce Policy: Physicians and Nurses in Health Care Reform, co-sponsored by the Association of Academic Health Centers and Georgetown University's School of Nursing, Department of Medicine, and Institute for Health Care Research and Policy. The conference was held April 25-26, 1994, in Washington, D.C., and was supported by the FHP Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The papers that follow this introduction are based on comments made by the authors at the conference.
