How do revolutions happen? Do they happen at all? Or do they just take place? Why is the theory of revolution especially topical in the Western countries that usually surprise external observers with apparent well-being? Does studying the country's culture matter for understanding why the revolution happened or didn't happen, and why the revolution took exactly the path it did? All these questions are addressed to Eric Selbin, one of the leading contemporary "theorists of revolution".
