摘要
The transmission of light through a one-dimensional random layered system is considered. The localization length depends on light polarization and goes to infinity approaching the Brewster angle for p-polarized light. The theory is in agreement with the results of Monte-Carlo simulation by Sipe et al. The angle of rotation of the polarization and the ellipticity of the light in a magnetic field are calculated in terms of the density of states and transmission. © 1990.
