摘要：

Subjects in an open field were not able to judge distance of a loudspeaker source emitting bursts of thermal noise when they were facing the source, but could judge source distance significantly better than chance when their heads were oriented with right ear facing the source, even though there were no loudness cues to distance provided. © 1969, Acoustical Society of America.
