摘要
Flows in a typical large steam turbine oil tank were modeled in a one-fourth-scale Plexiglas mockup. The flow patterns in the lank were observed using dye injection into water. Measurements of particle concentrations established the mechanisms of particle removal with and without filtration. A simple lumped-parameter mathematical model describing the oil clean-up process has been developed and verified experimentally.
