摘要
The grey forecasting theory is one of important techniques in the grey system theory, of which is using an approximate differential equation to describe the tendency in future for a time series. Software defect is an explicit characteristic in software developing process, which provides quality information of software. Defect predication is the process to record and track defect, it makes best use of the information provided by defect to set up organization process capability. This paper wants to apply the characteristics of grey forecasting theory in predicating defects at each period of software developing process. In the future, given total KLOC (Kilo Line Of Code) of a program; then, we can predicate value NOD (Number Of Defects) by our method. On the other hand, predication of defects can verify the debug efficiency of testing process of software in each period of time, such as one milestone.
