A typical case of K light chain deposition disease is detailed. Clinical and pathological findings are described. The discussion focuses on the diagnostic challenges encountered in the diagnosis of monoclonal light chain-related renal diseases. Experimental models have played a relevant role in clarifying and elucidating fundamental questions of diagnostic significance.
