摘要
Martensitic transformation in Mn-15Cu-2Ni-3Cr alloy is shown to be thermoelastic and second-order. However, the alloy, undergoing the second-order transformation, does not exhibit pseudoelasticity. The alloy is deformed by the movement of twin boundaries as well as the slip of dislocations at the early stage, resulting in the incomplete shape memory effect and the absence of the two-step yield. The maximum elastic softening is observed at the temperature of 20-30K below Tc where the best combination of the mobility and tetragonality is found. © 1995.
