摘要：

For paracompact nearness spaces, we prove a generalization of the classical theorem of Michael and we prove an analogue of the classical theorems of Tamano and Dowker. We prove that, for nearness spaces, paracompactness is productive, hereditary, summable, and is preserved by completion. We establish an internal method for studying all paracompact extensions of topological spaces.
