摘要：

The use of 2-(phenazon-4-yl)imino-3-phenyl-4-thiazolidinone (I), as well as its arylidene derivatives IIa, b as key intermediates in synthesis of different heterocyclic derivatives (III-X) has been investigated with a view of evaluating antibacterial and antitumor activities of the products. While most of these products stimulated the growth of different types of bacteria under investigation, they inhibited or sometimes completely suppressed the tumor growth in Swiss albino mice.
