摘要
The Brazilian Underwater Cultural Heritage, that is little known of society needs to be protected from the depredations that is victim, in special the remains of shipwreck resulting from the last five centuries along the sea coast of Brazil. The public entities, such as the Navy of Brazil and the Institute for National Artistic and Historical Heritage responsible for guardianship the national archaeological heritage have adopted strategies for the preservation of archaeological sites formed mainly by ship hulls and shipwreck artifacts. In this article will be discuss the main guidelines and practices that have been guiding efforts to protect the Brazilian Underwater Cultural Heritage.
