USE OF OXIDE ELECTRODES FOR PROTON-CONDUCTOR GAS SENSOR

摘要
An amperometric proton-conductor CO sensor operative at room temperature was developed by using a couple of Pt-loaded oxide (SnO2 and WO3) electrodes. The CO sensitivity of this sensor was about 7 times higher than the H2 sensitivity and the 90% response time about 3 min. On the other hand, the sensor became H2-selective when a Pt-black electrode was combined with a Pt-loaded WO3 electrode. The sensing mechanisms of the CO- and H2-selective proton-conductor sensors are proposed. © 1990.
