摘要
This article aims at the development of risk indicators related to environmental disasters, on theoretical and methodological design of studies on the subject in Geography. Its case study Mae Luiza district of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Choose which was due to occurrence of environmental disasters in the neighborhood. It aims to show how the methodology was implemented production challenge for analysis of the Environmental Vulnerability Index (IVSA) feasible in detail scale, more streamlined way possible. For composition of IVSA they were produced and correlated two indices: the Social Vulnerability Index (IVS); and the Exposure Index Physical natural to Mass Movements (IEMM), based on questionnaire in regular grid. IVSA five classes were defined for the district: very low; low; east; high; and very high. With spatial data, they found seven cores of very high social and environmental vulnerability.
