Dielectric Constant of Some Alkali Halides

摘要：
The dielectric constants of some ionic crystals were measured at 1 MHz by the "immersion method". The results are as follows: LiF: 8.94, NaCl: 5.93, NaBr: 6.34, NaI: 7.28, KCl: 4.80, KBr: 4.87, KI: 5.12, RbCl: 4.94, RbBr: 4.85, and RbI: 4.83. The method enabled us to make the measurement with small crystal pieces arbitrary in shape and dimension. It was found on the measurement of KCl crystals that humidification and dehydration by heat treatment at high temperature caused serious errors in some cases.
