摘要：

We analyzed in this article chronic The spawning season of Tocantins, Murilo Brandao Vilela, using both as a theoretical framework, the Postcolonial Criticism and ecocriticism. Throughout the analysis, we demonstrated in the text a mismatch between the natural time of spawning and the time frame of environmental legislation regarding, which makes ineffective initiatives to protect and preserve the ideal conditions for the preservation of life in the Tocantins River.
