摘要
Through illustration of the way geographical writing has had the effect of partially silencing the literary text as a text, the author emphasises the need for a more dialogical relationship, with much greater focus on the text itself, and thereby use of literature in a predominantly instrumentalist fashion. Such an approach would show adequate recognition of the intricate and complex signifying practice called text, which requires great scrutiny before geographers can go about their usual business. -after Author
