(Pd100-xAlx)80Si20 Alloys (x = 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 15 at.%) have been prepared by roller quenching. The structure of alloys was examined by X-ray diffraction. The crystallization temperature, Tp, heat of crystallization. ΔHc, and activation energy were determined using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Results show that (Pd100-xAlx)80Si20 alloys did not form glass for x > 7 at.%. The glass-forming ability and stability of (Pd100-xAlx)80Si20 alloys decreases with increasing Al content. © 1990.
