摘要
The goal in this paper is twofold. First, it is shown that linear time-varying control is in general superior to linear time-invariant (lti) control for lti plants with an H-2 criterion; an expression for the optimal performance using time-varying control is derived and a condition under which there is no advantage in using linear time-varying control over lti control is determined. Second, the H-2-optimal control of continuous-time systems is studied via dual-rate sampled-data controllers. It is shown that such a problem can be recast via the lifting technique as a standard lti H-2 problem in discrete time. A design procedure for the dual-rate H-2-optimal controller is proposed.
