摘要
Transmission Lines used to interconnection between generation centres and distribution centres are affected by lightning discharge. The objective of this work is modelling the electromagnetic coupling, during return stroke of the atmospheric electric activity to estimate the induced overvoltage in Line 1 of Planta Centro - Arenosa. A LCS (Lumped Current Source) model is employed to lightning channel and the matrices of inductance and capacitance overall system for a circuital analysis, that shows the existence of considerable levels of overvoltage on the conductors wires and shielding wires, even en the case of no direct lightning discharge. Is concluded that overvoltage can cause in this line a forced unavailability when doesn't exist an adequate grounding in every transmission tower, reducing the transport capacity of transmission network's electric energy, affecting directly to users like: hospitals, urban centre, industrial zones, etc.
