MODELING OF ELASTOPLASTIC STATE IN A CONTINUUM BY THE FINITE-ELEMENT METHOD

摘要
The paper deals with basic equations of the finite element method used in the analysis of stresses and strains in a continuum in which the plastification process is being carried out. By deriving the expressions for the elastoplastic matrix D(ep) the general approach has been shown, afterwards, the matrix is formed for the cases of general three-dimensional state of stress and plane state of stress. Several numerical examples are also given. Thin plates with different geometrical discontinuities such as a circular hole, an elliptical hole and a crack are considered. The discretization has been carried out by the finite elements, then, the analysis of stresses and strains. The local plastic zones around the discontinuities are defined as well.
