摘要
The Carreau viscosity model of the shear deformation is used to determine the hydrodynamic entrance length for falling liquid films emerging from a flat slit and flowing in a laminar fashion along an inclined flat plate. The present work enables the entrance-length problem to be treated in a general form by choosing different values of the two parameters in the model. It is found that a significant difference exists between predicted results based on the power law model and the Carreau model when the fluid is pseudoplastic and the flow is decelerating.
