摘要：

A modified Poisson-Boltzmann equation studied by Bell and Levine is derived as a non-linear integro-difference-differential equation. The linearised equation with the neglect of image terms, predicts an oscillatory solution for k(o)a > 1.2412 where k(o) is the bulk Debye-Huckel constant.
