摘要
l-Arginine is the endogenous source of nitric oxide in the endothelial cells of blood vessels. In thoracic aorta from Watanabe heritable hyperlipidaemic (WHHL) rabbits, the l-arginine/lysine and l-arginine/aspartic acid ratios were reduced in comparison to New Zealand rabbit aorta. This result indicates that a variation in aortic arginine/lysine or arginine/aspartic acid ratios could be related to the hyperlipidaemic status. © 1992 The Italian Pharmacological Society.
