INVESTIGATION OF THE ROLL MAGNETIC-ANISOTROPY BY MEANS OF THE MOSSBAUER-EFFECT

Changes in the spin orientation in cold-rolled Fe-12 at% Si alloy samples were studied by means of the Mossbauer effect. In the deformed structure two components were distinguished: high dislocation density regions (HDDRs) and original crystalline structure with low dislocation density. It is shown that spins are reoriented by cold-rolling toward the sheet plane and rolling direction in both components but in HDDRs this orientation is more pronounced. The results indicate that HDDRs have the dominating influence on the spin reorientation in the whole volume of the sample.
