1. 1.|In the newly-hatched domestic fowl, 5-HT creatinine sulphate (300μg/kg, intraabdominally) caused a fall in body temperature at high and low environmental temperatures. 2. 2.|The results are consistent with the hypothesis that 5-HT is an excitatory transmitter, acting on the warm receptor-heat loss pathway. © 1979.
