摘要
In examining the text of Revelation 18 I make a theological reading of the economic factor to catalog it as sin and subject to the court of God. This economy is sinful in that it brings misery for many and, furthermore, it means persecution and death for the community of believers. Sin, so defined, "arrives in heaven", constitutes the heart of a sinful situation. God does not undergo high "nor forget" it because it is an expression of injustice among men that must be remedied. The degradation of human life in today's world becomes a point from which to understand the effects that the forms of economic power assume. We are also faced with a "sinful situation, unfairly, that does not go unnoticed in the eyes of God, nor is it something that he can be unselfish." The current political-economic system also forms the heart of a sinful situation that is subject to the judgments of God.
