摘要
After considering the frequency of such crimes, the authors present their study of certain details of the history and examination of the victims of sexual assault. Injuries, pregnancy and a low incidence of veneral disease were accompaniments. Emotional disturbances were relatively frequent. The authors indicate that more complete evaluations should be made by using residents in gynecology and/or pediatrics and in areas removed from the bedlam of emergency rooms where examination is usually by a harried and in-experienced intern. A unique follow-up system is described. © 1969 Southern Medical Association.
