摘要
In preparation for determining the island size in the chemisorbed layer W(110) p(2 × 1)-O, the instrument response function of the LEED system has been determined and the limiting factors identified. As a result, a measure of the substrate surface perfection has been obtained. The surface contains monatomic steps at the bulk spacing with a density of roughly 2%. © 1979.
