摘要：
With the aid of the slow modulation method the Riemann wave breaking in the dispersive hydrodynamics is studied. In order to find an exact analytic solution of the Whitham equations describing the region of a nondissipative shock wave, the generalized hogograph transformation is used. The. Korteweg - de Vries hydrodynamics and nonlinear Schrodinger equation are analyzed.
