SOLVENT-EXTRACTION BEHAVIOR OF TRIVALENT ND, EU, HO, AND YB WITH DIBENZOYLMETHANE AT 80-DEGREES-C

摘要
The extraction behavior of trivalent lanthanide ions (Nd, Eu, Ho and Yb) has been studied with dibenzoylmethane (DBM) at 80 degrees C using molten paraffin wax as diluent. In the range of pH 7 to 8, the extraction of lanthanide cations is greater than 90%. The ratio of Ln:DBM in the extracted species was determined to be 1:3 by the slope analysis method. The pH(1/2) values of extraction and the extraction constants of Nd(III), Eu(III), Ho(III) and Yb(III) are reported.
