Analyzing the grades of the students of the systems engineering school of University of Los Andes, specifically in Researching of Operations (IO in Spanish) option, in order to find out if pre-requisite being used is structurally articulated with the correspondent one is the objective of this study. A data base, including grades, given by Direccion de Servicios de Informacion Administrativa (DSIA) of the University of Los Andes for the periods A2004 through B2011 was used. The statistical technique used was canonical correlation analysis which consisted on relate multiple dependent variables with multiple independent variables and with the grades from successive and paired periods. As a result, the grades with subjects with prerequisite are highly correlated, it means that the current pre-requisite system is well established, according to the variable grades.
