摘要：

From the beginning of the socialist industrialization in Slovakia, the migration of the population was characterized by a more intensive migration from the countryside to the cities. In the Slovak regions these tendencies were almost the same. Except for the common features that the Hornoni-triansky region has with its surrounding regions, this region has also its specific features which had a significant impact on the migration of the population. The aim of this article is to analyze these specific features. The significance of this analysis is based on the fact that migration influences - to the great extent - the spatial structure of human activities.
