摘要：
Acetone chemical ionization mass spectra of many acyclic, cyclic alcohols and diols have been studied. Comparison with reported isobutane CI mass spectra of theses compounds suggests close similarity in the case of acyclic alcohols. Cyclic alcohols undergo different kind of ion molecule reaction under acetone CI. Overall the diagnostic adduct ions such as (M + 43)+, (M + 59)+ and (M + 101)+ are highly abundant.
