摘要
This paper highlights the need for environmentally-realistic data on the kinetics of biodegradation in the aquatic environment and reviews many of the published kinetic expressions. The unsuitability of current Organisation for Economic Co-operation and European Economic Community Sixth Amendment "ready biodegradability" test procedures for generating such data is shown and an experimental approach for producing environmentally-realistic kinetic data proposed.
