摘要：
The historical development of geothermal energy in Nicaragua, together with some geologic and tectonic background information, is presented. Chemistry of thermal waters from different regions of Nicaragua is also discussed. Also included are completion practices in both production and injection wells, production characteristics of both Momotombo units, and flow diagram of one geothermal plant.
