摘要
ZnCr(2)Se(4) has a helical spin configuration at low temperatures; the asymptotic Curie temperature is positive (115 degrees K). These properties are explained by the presence of positive CrSeCr and negative CrSeSeCr interactions, which are calculated using Weiss-field approximation. The magnetization is measured as a function of the field at 4.2 degrees K and it is shown that the initial susceptibility agrees with the interactions evaluated.
