Religious Education and Missionary in Turkey

Recently, it has been observed that discussions pertaining to missionary and missionary activities have been increased in Turkey. It is argued that new legislations in line with the extension of freedom of faith and though create in a more convenient social climate for missionary activities. It should be noted that majority of such discussions on missionary cannot be considered in a scientific manner In this context, this article aims to explain to following issues: dimensions of missionary activities in Turkey, reasons for religious conversion and main target of missionary, religious education and missionary, and possibble changes and measures in Turkish religious education to prevent or decrease the influence of missonary activities on particulary youth.
