摘要
This research was to investigate severity of maximum wind speed of the tropical cyclone for creating the optimal model for extreme wind speed of the tropical cyclone over Southeast Asia and predicting level of reoccurrence and risk of extreme wind speed of the tropical cyclone in every 10, 25, 50 and 100 years. The data in this research were wind speed collected by the Regional Specialized Meteorological Center (RSMC) Tokyo, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) since 1996 to 2016, 20 years in total, 18,247 observations. The results showed that Weibull Distribution was an optimal distribution from the parameter estimation of GEV and Gamma Distribution for GPD.
