摘要
The partitioning of all-trans retinaldehyde (retinal) between benzene and decyldimethylammonio propanesulfonate (DeDAPS) aqueous solutions was investigated by spectrophotometric methods, when determination of colligative properties allowed to obtain the surfactant-partitioning between the two phases. The stripping capacity of the surfactant was found to be higher in molecular than in micellar form. This unexpected feature was interpreted in terms of sterical hindrance and rigidity of the retinal polyene group.
