FLUX LINE DYNAMICS IN CRYSTAL YBA2CU3O7-DELTA STUDIED BY MECHANICAL MEASUREMENTS

We have studied the flux line dynamics and its anisotropy in a crystal YBa2Cu3O(x) as a function of the magnetic field and the oxygen content; 0.5 T < H< 7 T, x = 6.9 and 6.6. At low temperature, the observed behavior is in agreement with a pinned flux line lattice. A residual dissipation appears depending both on x and H. The irreversibility line was also investigated: for H perpendicular-to c, the line remains steep and close to T(c) whereas for H parallel-to c, it moves apart in particular as x is decreased with H is-proportional-to (1-(T/T(c)))3/2. These results are interpreted within the model of thermally activated flux flow.
