Eosinophilic Pneumonia Mimicking Lung Mass: a Case Report with the History of Fosinopril Use

Eosinophilic lung disease can cause different clinical, laboratory and radiological appearances. Fifty six years old male case had applied with the complaints of weakness, cough and sputum production. The lesion on thorax CT was evaluated as mass which caused atelectasis in the apical segment of right upper lobe. The entrance of apical segment of right upper lobe was narrowed in the bronchoscopy. The result of mucosal biopsy had revealed chronic inflammation elements which is rich from eosinophils. The patient had also periferic eosinophilia. Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia was tought, because of the complaints of three months and biopsy result in the case who also had history of fosinopril use. The case was presented with the literature.
