摘要
A flashlamp pumped Ti:Al2O3 laser has been mode locked using a LiIO3 intracavity frequency doubler in a nonlinear mirror arrangement. The long pulse duration of 100 ps was due to the very large group velocity mismatch in this particular frequency doubling crystal. The principle of operation of the nonlinear mirror allows ultrashort pulse generation in the wide tuning range of this laser.
