摘要
Colombia, like Latin America, began the construction of national States from the paradigm of homogeneity; however, the global dynamics have changed, and Latin America, like most societies in the world, has begun to question itself and therefore in some cases to identify itself as a multicultural State. The objective of this article is to make a formal and critical reading of the background and the context in which the last constitutional change was made, as well as the new challenges that the recognition of multiculturalism is raising to institutionalism and the population in order to enrich knowledge on this subject and to propose some questioning on this topic. To do so the hermeneutical approach from documentary memory was assummed. It is found that the tensions and difficulties with the jurisprudence system have been intensified with the economic modernization processes that have been developing in the country which have come to be exclusive with peasant and ethnic communities since the territory inherited by the indigenous and afrodescendant communities has been placed in dispute breaking up the national unity and social integration project in a country toned down by war.
