摘要
The decrease in the plate height with increasing Reynolds number, predicted by theory, has been verified for gas chromatography in open tubular columns. It has been shown that this decrease is most pronounced when the mass distribution coefficient k = 0 and considerably lessened for k > 0. The Golay equation has been found to break down at relatively low flow velocities, viz., Re ∼ 200. © 1968, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
