摘要
The copolymer film poly(acrylonitrile-co-4-vinylpyridine) has been studied at the air-water interface by second harmonic generation. These studies indicate pyridine immersion in the surface and coiling of the polymer chain containing nitrile moieties toward the vapor phase. Phase measurements on the polymer and long-chain nitrile second harmonic signals support this proposed molecular arrangement.
