摘要
The effective shear modulus of a low porosity rock depends strongly on the viscosity of any fluid phase present in the microcracks. The bulk modulus is essentially independent. These results applied to the earth show remarkable (or perhaps fortuitous) agreement between the laboratory data and the facts known about the velocity zone in the upper mantle. © 1969.
